- - The Story - -

A man from Hilo, Hawaii makes a delicious sauce based on a recipe given to him by his Mother. This sauce has been used and enjoyed for three generations and is just right for Spanek vertically roasted poultry. A blend of Hawaiian brown sugar cane, aged soy sauce and fresh Hawaiian ginger, plus a few other secret ingredients, this old family recipe will enhance your poultry, as well as any other dish you create.

We are so sure you'll enjoy the Glaze & Marinade as much as we do, that we've now made it available to our Spanek Family customers. To make its use even easier, we added a spray nozzle.

Just roast your poultry as per the instructions included with your Spanek Vertical Roaster. About 20 minutes before it is finished, spray with the Spanek Glaze & Marinade, and finish roasting. The aroma will tell you, and your neighbors, that you've made a special dish.

To use as a marinade, there are several ways to go . . .
Spray the poultry with a bit of the Glaze & Marinade before rubbing with the a Spanek Seasoning Blend, then roast as directed.

Place 1/4 cup (60 ml) of the Glaze & Marinade into a plastic bag, add the poultry, close securely, then turn and rub. Allow to marinate in the refrigerator for 1-8 hours, turning the bag over a couple of times. Then roast as per the instructions included with your Spanek Vertical Roaster.

When we asked our kitchen consultant to try this Glaze & Marinade, she enthusiastically came back to us with a long list of other ideas for this great flavor enhancer, used alone and in combination with other ingredients.

To marinate chicken, pork chops, beef or fish steaks:
Use 1/4 cup (60 ml) Glaze & Marinade and 1/4 cup orange juice. Place into plastic bag with meat, close tightly, refrigerate and allow to marinate for several hours before roasting or grilling.

To add to stuffing:
Add 1 Tbs Glaze & Marinade to a bread-based stuffing and place into greased casserole. Bake at 20 minutes at 350F degrees (180C degrees). Spray top with Glaze & Marinade and bake an additional 10 minutes.
