These paintings were commissioned from Guy
Buffet about ten years ago as part of a marketing project for a large haute cuisine cookware company. We are their original owner, and we
are now at a place where we hope to find someone who can take
over the legacy and ownership of this collection, so that they
can hang in a chateau, a mansion, or a fine home where
they can be displayed properly. Our only stipulation is that the
group of paintings must stay together.
Maybe you are
that person, or maybe you know that
person. Someone with the ability to give paintings like these
their proper place of honor, and cherish them. A designer or
architect who can envision these paintings in a valued home is
exactly the kind of person we are looking to talk with.
These images could easily be the centerpiece
of a Chateau de Vin or the
home of a Chef de cuisine.
We have been offered as much as $60,000 for one of the six, but they belong together as a group and we couldn't see our way clear to separate them and sell them individually. They have been valued as a group at $195,000. About Guy BuffetGuy Buffet's work is well-known in
both advertising and fine-art contexts. Maybe you've seen his famous
Williams-Sonoma portraits of waiters ("Les Garçons") and
restaurant staff, or his impressionist scenes of his native Paris. He's
regarded as one of the living masters of French naïve
impressionism. Thank YouAgain, our only wish is that this
collection of art stays whole. We hope you will be able to envision this
collection in a place of honor. If you would appreciate this ownership,
or if you know someone who would, remember these works of art were
created in a particular moment in time, and nothing like this will be
done again. Thank you for reading this over. If you wish to contact us, we would be happy to answer any questions you might have, and to work with you to find these paintings their proper home. |
