Classic Collections
This area is reserved for classic art collections that have a truly unique story, presentation or theme. These may be multiple images depicting a travel adventure, capturing a moment or an event in time, or works illustrating a unifying theme.
Our current collections begin with two groups of paintings by the great French master of contemporary impressionism, Guy Buffet, The Orient Express and The California Vineyards. These acrylics on canvas were commissioned to create special marketing projects and are being offered by their original owner.
The Venice-Simplon Orient Express (1994)
This unique collection of original paintings commemorates a 1994 journey the artist made on the
legendary Venice-Simplon Orient Express, the world's most celebrated train. This is a suite of
ten original acrylics — four large paintings (three 22" x 30" and one 24" x 30") and six
smaller pieces (8" x 10") — depicting the Orient Express and its staff. The record of a moment in
time, deserving of a place of honor in a chateau, a mansion, or an executive office suite.
(Valued at $162,000 [all ten pieces, inclusive])
