Trick here is to get away from the mentality in thinking that if you have 20 people coming for dinner then you will need a 24 lb turkey.
First, any turkey over 18 lbs is what is called a Tom bird. They don’t carry a lot of juice, take forever to cook, and probably why people only do them once a year.
Hens up to 14/15/16 lbs carry the most amount of juice. Preparing two 15 lb. birds provides more meat, giving you 4 legs, 4 wings, 4 breasts, plus cooking in half the time. Perfect menu for special social events, BBQ parties, Super Bowls, fundraisers, etc. Simple, easy and stress-free.
